Job Purpose:

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and implementing the mass deployment of line of business software applications to Citi internal end-users globally. Mass deployment is classed as the deployment of one or more applications simultaneously to more than 25 users or endpoints. Typical Vertical mass software deployment would range from 26 to 26,000 users or endpoints.

The successful applicant will utilize their experience to operate and further develop the teams' processes related to deployment as well as contributing to the wider Software Management Services success. The incumbent is expected to perform root cause analysis and work on / solve a variety of high-impact, high-profiles problems and projects each of which has direct business impact. Job Background/Context:

Software Management Services is part of the Citi Technology Infrastructure, Customer Operations group.

The Software Management Services team is responsible for all aspects of software delivery to physical and virtual desktop environments accessed via more than 400,000 endpoints across Citi's desktop environment. The team owns software packaging, application readiness and software deployment.

This role sits within the Vertical Release team which is responsible for planning, scheduling, testing and supporting the release of line of business (Vertical) software applications to users across the 160 countries and jurisdictions in which Citi operates.

The role reports to the SMS Vertical Release Manager and provides opportunity to directly impact Citi's businesses through the successful release of critical applications to the Citi end user computing environment.

The team currently utilizes Microsoft SCCM for software delivery to desktops. Key Responsibilities:

Desktop/VDI Mass Deployment of software packages across multiple business lines and regions. Liaise with internal customers to understand their software deployment requirements. Document, test, plan and schedule software deployments and upgrades based on the requirements of each customer. Provide support and guidance to customers, and peer technical teams throughout the release process. Proactively manage each deployment from inception to completion. Produce detailed deployment documentation and present to customers, peers and senior managers. Contribute to the design of the teams policies, processes and Process Control Manuals. Contribute to the overall success of the Software Management Services team through collaboration and partnership with peers in other the SMS and Senior Management Team. Provide metrics on deployments' progress to customers, peers and senior management. Adhere to and utilize Change Management processes.

Development Value:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Vertical Release team within the Software Management Services organization in Citi. SMS is represented in five core locations - Bahrain, Belfast, Irving, Manila and India. As a group SMS has a monthly turnover of 800 change requests and output of 4 million endpoint touches.

Person Specification Knowledge/Experience:

5 + years' experience in a customer facing technical role. 5+ years software installation experience.

Skills: Experience troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems. Experience of the following technologies - MS SCCM and MSI Application Packaging. Strong working knowledge of Active Directory. Analytical thinking and experience with data analysis tools and methodologies. Planning, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Team-oriented and collegial approach to addressing challenges. Strong problem isolation and resolutions skills. Experience of ITIL / Six Sigma methodologies. Experience of using MS Office products in a business environment.
