Control Panel Builder

CDE Group, located in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, is hiring for the role of Control Panel Builder.

To meet project deadlines and ensure that the quality of the installations is completed and tested to a high standard.

Location: CDE Global, 370 Doagh Road

Responsibilities:

• Lean manufacturing of motor control & power distribution panels following specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conducting dead testing on electrical control panels after completion.
• Liaising with design engineers on control panel design issues and improvements.
• Installing new products as technologies evolve.
• Understanding and applying IEC/IEE wiring regulations.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Establishing and reviewing processes to improve deliverables.
• Adhering to CDE's HR and H&S policies.

• At least 2 years of testing and fault finding experience.
• Engineering discipline qualification or Qualified Electrician (or 3 years relevant experience).
• Experience in testing control panels.
• Understanding of PLC control systems.
• Knowledge of starter systems, VFD, Soft start, S/D, and DOL systems.
• Valid driver's license.

• Grade C or above in Maths and English.
• Experience in control panel manufacturing.
• Knowledge of busbar systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Right to work in the UK.
