POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order. Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed. Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.

Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure a professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally. Support team efforts to achieve shared goals. Adhere to quality standards. Read and verify information in various formats. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone, and over 75 pounds with assistance. Handle objects of varying sizes and weights requiring fine motor skills. Navigate uneven surfaces, stairs, and ramps. Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific licenses or certifications needed.
