Responsibilities What You'll Do The Fuel Truck Driver/Handler Lead will provide direct oversight over the daily fuel farm operations, such as fuel testing, fuel recirculation, uploads, downloads, transfers, fuel farm inspections, bladder and berm inspections, and operator-level maintenance on all associated equipment for JP-8 and Diesel fuels. Will assist in transporting JP-8 fuel between the airfield and the fuel farm during shifts. Perform daily safety briefs. Conduct PWS and SOP procedure training as required. Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Hazmat and tanker endorsement. Will be required to obtain a HAZWOPER certificate within 30 days of being hired. Perform additional duties as needed. Key Responsibilities: Drives a Fuel Truck from the Fuel Farm to the Airfield and back. Will assist in the uploading and downloading of the tanker truck. Conduct operator-level inspections and repairs on tanker trucks and associated fuel equipment. May work, split shifts to include day or night shifts. Receive, recirculate, and transfer fuel from bladder to bladder, bladder to truck. Assist with fuel testing procedures. Oversees and trains other Operators/Drivers in daily tasks and procedures. Performs other duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent experience desired Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker and HAZMAT Endorsement. Must be able to pass the Military's Flight Line Drivers course. Must be willing to obtain 40 hr. HAZWOPER upon 30 days of being hired, at applicants' expense. Experience: Two years of related experience. Minimum of two years' experience as a commercial or military fuel truck driver/operator. Aviation and fuel farm operations experience desired Skills: Must comply with published Company work rules and Government Regulations Must understand, read, write, and speak English.
