Position Title: Assistant Manager, Medical Representation

Location: Bahrain

Full-Time

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Medical Representation is responsible for the ethical detailing of Nestlé Infant Nutrition products in the assigned territory. This involves clearly communicating accurate information about these products, their features, benefits, and appropriate use to medical and paramedical contacts, especially when mothers are unable or choose not to breastfeed. All activities must comply with NME Nutrition guidelines, WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes, Nestlé Instructions, and local country codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote breastfeeding as the best option for infants, emphasizing its benefits over other feeding alternatives.
  • Provide reliable information on infant nutrition and feeding practices to medical and paramedical contacts, becoming a reference advisor.
  • Organize and participate in medical/scientific meetings related to product knowledge and nutrition, including sponsorships and guest lectures.
  • Maintain and update contact information in the territory, including classification by interest and importance, via call cards.
  • Monitor competitor activities, including new products and communication strategies, and report to the Medical Field Manager.
  • Keep proper records of all activities and correspondence.
  • Ensure strict adherence to WHO International Code, Nestlé Instructions, and local regulations regarding marketing and interactions.
  • Comply with policies that prohibit advising pregnant women or mothers about Infant Formula in a business capacity.
Qualifications for Success
  • Degree in Nutrition, Pharmacy, Public Health, or Biology.
  • Experience as a Medical Representative is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
