Amana Healthcare, brought to you by M42 and Mumtalakat, is pleased to announce the first Amana Healthcare facility in Bahrain, located in Al Jasra will open in late 2025. This world-class hospital will provide long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services.
Amana Healthcare provides long-term care for adult patients with complex medical needs in an inpatient setting. Multidisciplinary care will be provided though intensive care unit (ICU) physicians, geriatricians, nurses, therapists, and a patient & family experience team who work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for those patients. It also offers specialized rehabilitation for individuals who require inpatient rehabilitation following a life-altering event, such as stroke, brain injury, spine injury, joint replacement, or amputation.
Job Summary:
We're on the lookout for a highly experienced and clinically strong Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate patient care in our acute and long-term units. You'll be the backbone of the ward—overseeing clinical delivery, mentoring nurses, managing workflows, and ensuring top-tier patient care. This isn't just a nurse role—it's leadership, operations, and advocacy rolled into one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing activities in ICU, HDU, Rehabilitation, LTC, or Inpatient units.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
- Lead clinical rounds, case discussions, and critical patient assessments.
- Act as the go-to clinical resource for junior staff and provide real-time coaching.
- Develop and implement unit-specific protocols and care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation compliance.
- Manage shift rosters, delegate assignments, and maintain staffing adequacy.
- Assist in audits, policy reviews, and quality improvement projects.
- Act promptly in emergencies and guide the team with calm leadership.
Qualification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NHRA license.
- Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong background in ICU, HDU, Rehab, LTC, or Inpatient Care.
- BLS & ACLS certifications (Mandatory).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred).
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and team leadership skills.
- Solid knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital protocols.
- Adaptable to multicultural, fast-paced clinical environments.
