The ideal candidate will bring strong legal expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact with external legal entities, such as law firms and regulatory bodies.
  • Review and advise on all legal matters relating to contracts and agreements on an ongoing basis.
  • Keep abreast of current laws and legislation, ensuring that the company meets all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and update the legal group-wide framework.
  • Identify potential areas of legal vulnerability, develop and implement corrective action plans, and advise on mitigating future issues.
  • Manage the group's legal framework and develop regulatory policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to ensure efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing, negotiating, and completing contractual documentation with customers, suppliers, or other counterparties.
  • Contribute to corporate business development and transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate actions, ensuring legal documentation is properly prepared and negotiated.
  • Provide advice on civil law, commercial law, tax laws, labor law, and capital market law.
  • Oversee the quality of services provided by external law firms and overseas counsels.
  • Conduct internal legal investigations and manage regulatory audits and inquiries.
  • Develop legal monitoring and control systems to prevent violations of legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to regulatory bodies and maintain appropriate records.
  • Evaluate and improve the efficiency of legal controls continuously.
  • Assess legal risks associated with future business ventures.
  • Implement group-wide legal training in coordination with HR.
  • Communicate legal policies and changes effectively to employees.
  • Ensure organizational awareness of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection, employment law, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks related to corporate secretarial and governance matters as needed.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (L.L.B), International Law, Commercial Law, or a related field.
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a legal role.
  • Ability to delegate, guide, foster collaboration, and manage resources and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data protection, GDPR, and privacy laws.
  • Deep understanding of various legal areas relevant to the organization.
  • Knowledge of corporate laws, contractual laws, and data privacy.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance, ESG, and related fields.
  • Analytical skills and experience in conducting thorough investigations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MIS, ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
