During Your Tenure as a Senior in Audit & Assurance, you will:

  • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service expectations and individual concerns.
  • Deliver high-quality services by understanding regulation and risk management impacts on business processes and controls.
  • Understand key statistics and industry matters about the client before engagement begins.
  • Adapt referral instructions to define the scope of procedures, including audit focus areas, and understand the group audit structure.
  • Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
  • Track deliverables from component auditors and comprehend their relevance.
  • Link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across audit files promptly.
  • Articulate audit quality milestones and how they ensure audit quality.
  • Understand the timing of the audit plan and challenge whether work can be performed earlier.
  • Prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions, differentiating accounting and auditing judgments.
  • Develop relationships beyond finance to better understand the business and apply professional skepticism.
  • Be aware of risks during the engagement lifecycle and relevant regulatory policies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of public auditing and accounting experience, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
  • Experience supervising staff, inspecting client records, analyzing data, preparing audit reports, and resolving research issues.
  • Ability to plan and manage engagements and teams, ensuring timely delivery.
  • International accounting qualification preferred: CA, ACCA, or CPA; CA preferred.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual (Arabic/English) candidates preferred.
