The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) College of Engineering and Computing invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Cybersecurity for the fall semester 2025. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field obtained from a reputable university.
Preferences will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellent teaching skills at the undergraduate level in both face-to-face and online models. Relevant industry experience will be considered an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:- Teach up to five courses per semester depending on rank
- Prepare course syllabus, plan lessons and assignments
- Assess students' progress by grading assignments, papers, exams, and other work
- Advise students on course selection and achieving their goals
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop or modify curricula for degree or certificate programs
- Stay informed about changes and innovations in the field
- Invigilate examinations
- Attend faculty meetings
- Participate in general administration related to teaching and assessment quality assurance
- Write research proposals, papers, and other publications
- Supervise student projects/theses
- Ph.D. in Cybersecurity or a related field from a recognized institution
- Experience teaching Cybersecurity and/or related programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Experience in developing higher education programs in Cybersecurity or related fields, or comparable industry experience (preferred)
- Preference for candidates with degrees from the United States and experience in U.S. higher education institutions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and external stakeholders, including the business community
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (preferable)
- Leadership qualities aligned with AUBH core values: integrity, engagement, excellence, and making a difference
