Salesforce Architect

Role Overview:

The Salesforce Architect is responsible for designing the overall architectural framework for our Salesforce ecosystem. This includes Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, and integrations with legacy and modern enterprise systems (ERP, DMS, BI, Data Lake). You will act as the technical visionary, translating business strategies into scalable, secure, and high-performance CRM solutions. You will collaborate with business leaders, product managers, developers, admins, and security teams to ensure Salesforce becomes a central engine of customer-centricity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy:

• Design enterprise-level, multi-cloud Salesforce architecture aligned with business strategy and digital roadmap.
• Define technical vision, principles, and standards for Salesforce development and integration.
• Create and maintain architectural blueprints, data models, integration diagrams, and system documentation.
• Identify opportunities for platform optimization, automation, AI-enablement (Einstein, GPT), and innovation.

Platform Design & Governance:

• Lead design sessions with stakeholders and technical teams to define solutions.
• Oversee data modeling, sharing & visibility design, performance optimization, and compliance with GDPR and data protection policies.
• Manage technical debt and enforce governance practices including naming conventions, code quality standards, release strategy, and deployment models.

Integration & Scalability:

• Architect APIs and middleware-based integrations with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, MuleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Define scalable architecture for handling large volumes of customer, transaction, and interaction data.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Gearset, Copado, Jenkins).

Leadership & Mentoring:

• Mentor and coach Salesforce developers, junior architects, and administrators.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development teams.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem, including hands-on configuration, coding, and architecture.
• Salesforce Certified System Architect and Application Architect is plus.
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred or a clear path toward certification.
• Proven experience with multi-org environments, multi-cloud implementations (Sales, Service, Experience, Field Service).
• Deep understanding of platform limits, API governor limits, security model, and DevOps practices.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in automotive, retail, or B2B distribution is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with data lake architectures and event-driven systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation, and influencing skills.
