Position Summary

Fives Services Gulf is actively seeking a Technical Coordinator to join its teams in Bahrain.

Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East. With a team of 150 people based in Bahrain, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support, local parts sourcing, refit and modernization projects, audits, and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to maintaining equipment in operation at our customers' plants.

It is with you that industry can do it We are currently seeking a Technical Coordinator, who shares the same desire to prove that industry can do it

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for coordinating the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative and scheduled maintenance of all equipment to ensure activities meet operational and customer requirements, aligned with industry standards.
  2. Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of daily maintenance operations for assigned projects/customers, ensuring work is performed accurately and efficiently, with results reported timely according to company policies and customer requirements.
  3. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of current maintenance processes and procedures, recommending enhancements to embed efficiency within operations.
  4. Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of equipment, consumables, stock levels, and resources; coordinate stock replenishment to support maintenance operations.
  5. Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, acting as the focal point for all maintenance and planning matters, including responding to inquiries, processing requests, and coordinating reporting.
  6. Lead the preparation and delivery of daily customer reports as per contractual terms.
  7. Maintain all equipment records, licenses, and certifications, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly managed.
  8. Support training on maintenance practices and procedures for employees and customers to ensure technical knowledge and operational readiness.
  9. Assist in preparing and updating manuals and documents, ensuring they are communicated effectively internally and externally.
  10. Support the Mechanical Superintendent in ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and safety program requirements, documenting violations and recommending corrective actions.
  11. Review and resolve performance, process, quality, and technical issues, implementing preventative measures and remedial solutions.
  12. Support operational requirements and take supervisory responsibilities during the Superintendent's absence.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, including HSEQ requirements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Automation Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of PTM (Pot Tending Machines) is advantageous.
