The candidate will be responsible for providing necessary assistance to the construction team regarding materials submittals, approvals, testing, sampling, etc. The role involves field testing, acceptance of materials, and verifying remedial and corrective measures. The company specializes in high-quality dry mix products for the construction industry, liquid additives to enhance performance and durability, and high-quality epoxy products for specialized applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new construction chemical products, including eco-friendly options to meet sustainability trends.
  • Evaluate new products, process technologies, and business opportunities; participate in their implementation.
  • Ensure technologies comply with international standards such as ASTM, EN, and BS.
  • Back-engineer similar products to improve or innovate.
  • Design products according to standard procedures and produce cost-effective components.
  • Lead the team in quality assurance, new product development, and research to support growth.
  • Conduct tests on raw materials following standard procedures.
  • Perform trials and obtain third-party approvals.
  • Collaborate with external laboratories using advanced testing methods like FTIR, HPLC, TGA.
  • Liaise with government bodies and external laboratories.
  • Maintain quality control systems across all PMC site activities.
  • Prepare quality audits and monitor site inspections and testing.
  • Maintain leadership in quality and customer satisfaction; incorporate feedback to improve processes.
  • Manage daily technical operations and provide technical support.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through proactive on-site technical support.
  • Conduct project meetings and report on quality issues.
  • Supervise relevant discipline engineers.
  • Coordinate with contractors and EPC responsibilities for project activities.
  • Implement HSE policies and staff training.
  • Supervise and monitor production functions.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Regularly check plant operations and perform maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Monitor quality management systems during project execution.
  • Handle pricing, tendering, cost control, and quotations as per project specs.
  • Oversee the technical department and provide feedback.
  • Implement quality audits across projects.
  • Optimize profitability through sound technical and commercial judgment.
  • Monitor QA/QC activities in the laboratory per the management system.
  • Address technical and commercial issues as they arise.
  • Regularly check raw materials.
  • Ensure alignment with LIMS for digital traceability.
  • Prepare mix designs per project specifications.
  • Discuss technical aspects with clients, consultants, and contractors; provide feedback.
  • Monitor parameters and respond to customer complaints with clarifications.
  • Select raw materials and admixtures to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain records of all activities as per standards.
  • Visit laboratories and sites to ensure quality control procedures are followed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum ten years of experience in a similar industry
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (reading and writing)
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
