Position SummaryOperate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, pressing, flatwork ironer, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine the appropriate action—repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place them in clean linen carts. Set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabrics. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain traps after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes manually or using folding machines. Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
All employees must ensure a safe workplace, follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, uphold quality standards, and present a professional appearance and communication. The role involves standing, walking, and performing hands-on tasks such as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
