Overview

We are looking for a Market Researcher / Merchandiser to join a leading department store in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have experience in product sourcing, trend analysis, and vendor coordination. This role ensures product selection stays competitive, relevant, and appealing to customers, helping drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities
  • Research market trends and customer preferences to identify new product opportunities
  • Source and select products for the store, ensuring quality and variety
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery terms
  • Plan and coordinate product displays with the team
  • Track product performance and recommend changes to improve sales
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, market research, or product sourcing, ideally in retail or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and retail operations
  • Good negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
