Navy Architect

The Naval Architect is responsible for the design, development, and analysis of marine vessels and structures. This role involves applying engineering principles to ensure vessels are safe, efficient, and meet regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze marine vessels, including hulls, structures, and systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Conduct stability, strength, and performance assessments to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects.
• Oversee the construction and testing of vessels, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct research and development to innovate and improve existing designs and technologies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to naval architecture.
• Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and updates on project status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in Rhino and Orca 3D.

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in naval architecture or marine engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
