Job Description:

We are seeking a BIM Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team and lead the development and coordination of BIM models for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) systems. You will play a key role in ensuring models support efficient construction planning and execution, collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Create, update, and manage detailed BIM models for mechanical systems using Revit and other Autodesk tools.
  • Conduct clash detection with other disciplines (e.g., electrical, structural) and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Generate accurate construction documents, including mechanical shop drawings, builders work drawings, and pipe spool drawings.
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure models reflect actual site conditions, resolving queries with BIM data.
  • Prepare BIM reports, visualizations, and presentations for project teams and clients.
  • Support the development of as-built BIM models and manage information exchange with stakeholders.
  • Assist with model-based quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical works.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering with significant BIM involvement (strong BIM-focused graduates also considered).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM 360/ACC, Solibri, or Fabrication Suite is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and BIM best practices (e.g., ISO 19650).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred: experience in a contracting company, 4D/5D BIM, parametric content creation, BIM-to-fabrication workflows, or professional BIM certifications.
