Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Area Manager to join our team In this role you will get to play a key role in the continued growth and development of the group's business and operations – focused on winning work, providing excellent customer service, and managing internal operations. The successful candidate will be an effective "seller/doer" that balances business development, project management, and operational management responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Develop strategic initiatives and business plans for the district that align with the overall goals of the sector and division.
  2. Successfully win and manage complex and major projects within the strategic and operational framework.
  3. Provide overall leadership and support to other divisions working in Country to promote a One Parsons approach.
  4. Provide oversight and coordination of staff resource planning, including the timely assignment of staff among the projects to provide quality deliverables to clients.
  5. Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development and continuous improvement that supports division objectives.
  6. Recruit, retain and develop top industry talent.
  7. Demonstrate commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.
  8. Enhance the organization's profile and reach across the industry.
  9. Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.
  10. Ensure consistency in district quality, budgetary constraints and expectations and that appropriate monitoring and control mechanisms are developed and administered.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  1. 20 years of related work experience in the planning, design and management of major projects.
  2. Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
  3. Demonstrated experience of business development, team building (including sub-consultants), and project delivery.
  4. Demonstrated ability to grow market share. Must have strong relationships with key clients in Bahrain.
  5. Demonstrated experience in the effective coordination of regional business development efforts, including an understanding of overall corporate business strategies.
  6. Demonstrated ability to identify, recruit, mentor and develop talent.
  7. Creative and innovative leader with the ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.

  1. Licensed PE or equivalent.
