Job Overview

Canonical is seeking an experienced Python developer with a background in MongoDB to help us build a fully managed MongoDB solution based on Juju. Our goal is to create the most reliable and secure way to deploy and operate MongoDB on various platforms, including machines, VMs, public cloud, and Kubernetes. The MongoDB team is small but impactful, offering you the opportunity to significantly influence the product and ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robust MongoDB deployments across multiple environments.
  • Contribute to building a secure, reliable, and scalable MongoDB management solution.
  • Collaborate with a small, dedicated team of engineers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python programming, especially in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience operating and managing MongoDB clusters.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure deployment automation or Linux systems administration.
  • Passion for quality assurance and automated testing.
