Overview

Amana Healthcare, brought to you by M42 and Mumtalakat, is pleased to announce the first Amana Healthcare facility in Bahrain, located in Al Jasra, which will open in late 2025. This world-class hospital will provide long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services.

Amana Healthcare provides long-term care for adult patients with complex medical needs in an inpatient setting. Multidisciplinary care is provided through ICU physicians, geriatricians, nurses, therapists, and a patient & family experience team who work collaboratively to enhance quality of life. It also offers specialized rehabilitation for individuals who require inpatient rehabilitation following events such as stroke, brain injury, spine injury, joint replacement, or amputation.

Position Summary

We're looking for a credentialed Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary care team at our long-term care facility. This role is boots-on-the-ground clinical nutrition—focused on maintaining and enhancing residents' nutritional health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting quality of life through evidence-based dietary care.

You'll assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with nursing, culinary, and therapy teams to deliver top-tier resident outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments for new admissions, quarterly reviews, and upon significant change in condition.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Track weight trends, lab values, and intake records—intervene as needed.
  • Partner with culinary staff to ensure menu planning meets residents' medical needs, preferences, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary rounds.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal, state, and facility standards (CMS, MDS, etc.).
  • Conduct diet education for residents, families, and staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and kitchen compliance with dietary regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison with physicians, speech therapists (for dysphagia), and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in QA performance improvement initiatives related to nutrition and resident outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Valid NHRA license in Bahrain
  • 1–2 years of LTC, skilled nursing, or geriatric nutrition experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of CMS guidelines, MDS, IDT care planning, and dietary regulations in long-term care.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
