Our British curriculum school, International School of Creative Science (ISCS), is looking for a creative, passionate and outstanding Learning Support Assistant who values professional development opportunities and a good work-life balance.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing learning support for Special Educational Needs students in class or in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or in small groups.
  2. Assisting students in the playground and during outside activities, being mindful of their health and safety in relation to their condition.
  3. Encouraging safe interactive play.
  4. Reporting any progress towards targets for Special Educational Needs students with behavior Support Plans.

Successful applicants will be subject to various background checks including, receipt of satisfactory references, proof of relevant qualifications, identification and police checks, including overseas checks.

Skills
  • Courses in Education and/or Psychology preferred.
  • A Childcare qualification level 2 and/or 3 would be desirable.
  • Two continuous years of experience dealing with Special Educational Needs Students as a full-time shadow teacher (preferred).
  • Priority will be given to those who have previously worked with Special Educational Needs Students, helping them to participate in the learning process through the inclusive practices of the school.
  • Understanding of lesson planning, IEPs, and learning objectives to contribute to growth and development.
  • Completed RBT Training/ABA Training preferred.
