Our British curriculum school, International School of Creative Science (ISCS) in Bahrain, is looking for a creative, passionate and outstanding Learning Support Assistant who values professional development opportunities and a good work-life balance.
Responsibilities- Provide learning support for Special Educational Needs students in class or in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or in small groups.
- Develop knowledge of the needs of the students and seek advice from the Inclusion Manager/Special Educational Needs Coordinator and class teacher.
- Aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
- Make or modify resources as suggested and advised by the Inclusion Manager/Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Educational Psychologist.
- Be involved in the planning and preparation of day-to-day class activities.
- Support Special Educational Needs students in the playground and outside activities, being mindful of their health and safety and encouraging safe interactive play.
- Motivate and encourage Special Educational Needs students to participate in activities they may be unsure of, providing positive reinforcements, praise, and rewards according to the student's behavior modification plan requirements.
- Attend in-service training and relevant meetings to stay updated with developments in working with children with special educational needs.
- Report any progress towards targets for Special Educational Needs students with behavior support plans.

Skills- Courses in Education and/or Psychology preferred.
- A Childcare qualification level 2 and/or 3 would be desirable.
- Two continuous years of experience dealing with Special Educational Needs students as a full-time shadow teacher (preferred).
- Priority will be given to those with prior experience in supporting Special Educational Needs students through the inclusive practices of the school.
- Understanding of lesson planning, IEPs, and learning objectives to contribute to growth and development.
- Completed RBT Training/ABA Training preferred.
