Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid checks
Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspension systems, and exhaust systems
Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools and equipment
Troubleshoot engine, electrical, and performance-related issues
Perform vehicle servicing according to manufacturer specifications
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper functionality
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and regulations
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
Assist in identifying spare parts requirements and report inventory needs
Support other workshop activities as required

Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Vocational Training in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic, Vehicle Mechanic, or Automotive Technician
Experience working on passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, or fleet vehicles
Experience with diagnostic equipment and repair tools

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides
Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
Understanding of workplace health and safety standards
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills for service reporting and diagnostics
