Job Description:

The Contracts Engineer plays a key role in managing and administering construction contracts throughout project lifecycles. This includes preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with project teams to mitigate contractual risks. The Contracts Engineer also provides support in claims management, contract close-outs, and vendor coordination to ensure smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, draft, and review contract documents, subcontracts, and agreements.
  • Ensure contract compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, legal teams, and procurement to resolve contract-related issues.
  • Assess and manage risks, claims, and variations in contracts.
  • Support negotiation of contract terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor contract performance and progress; issue notices as required under contract clauses.
  • Maintain contract documentation, tracking key milestones, amendments, and obligations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC and other standard contract forms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, project timelines, and commercial aspects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management software.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
