About the Position:

This position is located in one of two locations: Bahrain Elementary School or Bahrain Middle High School.

All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. The local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that includes localities where people live and can reasonably travel daily to work based on local community expectations (5 CFR 575.203).

U.S. Citizens currently residing in Bahrain.

To qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements below. Experience includes paid and unpaid work, volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps or AmeriCorps, and other organizations (professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, social). All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Your resume must clearly detail your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, transcripts are required.

Qualifications:
  • General Experience: One year of responsible clerical, office, or related work demonstrating the ability to perform duties of an Educational Aid (Special Education), such as preparing letters, schedules, and documents using a personal computer, or assisting with instructional materials.
  • Education: Two years of education beyond high school from an accredited institution (business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, college, or university).
  • Combination of Education and Experience: A combination may be used if the total percentage of requirements met is at least 100%. Calculate by dividing total months of experience by 12 and semester hours by 60, then adding the percentages.
