Job Description
We are hiring a Painting Expert to lead and improve painting processes. The ideal candidate will drive quality improvement initiatives, train teams, and oversee the entire painting lifecycle for FRP, GRP and metal components.
- Manage all aspects of the painting process, including primer, sanding, masking, and clear coat applications.
- Lead quality improvement efforts to reduce rework and maintain audit compliance in the painting shop.
- Liaise with paint suppliers and manage documentation for work instructions and control sheets.
- Train and mentor teams, ensuring adherence to established painting processes and safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance of spray booths and manage process modifications for new systems or suppliers.
- Develop and update work instructions related to the painting process.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive painting processes.
- Technical expertise in paint chemistry, application techniques, and problem-solving related to painting defects.
- Strong training, communication, and maintenance skills, with proficiency in engineering drawings.
- Certification in automotive painting processes is an asset.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in industrial painting processes for FRP, GRP, and metal components.
- Proficiency in primer, sanding, masking, and clear coat applications.
- Strong leadership skills to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to liaise effectively with paint suppliers and manage documentation.
- Skilled in training and mentoring teams to adhere to painting processes and safety standards.
