Chief Information Security Architect About This Role: This leadership role is responsible for managing the Security Operations (Sec Ops) team, which focuses on designing and implementing Canonical security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at RESO. This role involves leading the design and architecture of an open source project, working collaboratively with a globally distributed team, and mentoring colleagues in their career progression. Your Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality code using languages such as Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++, or Type Script/React. Leverage your technical expertise to lead design and architecture efforts for our open source project. Foster collaboration and communication among team members to ensure successful project outcomes. Mentor and guide colleagues in their professional development, helping them grow within the company. Display technical leadership and contribute to the growth of Canonical and our communities. Collaborate with colleagues to debug issues and produce high-quality solutions. Contribute to creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation. Your Qualifications You have an exceptional academic track record from both high school and university. You hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or have a compelling narrative about your alternative path. You possess strong technical leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams. You are well-organised, self-starting, and able to deliver projects on schedule.
