Duties and Responsibilities: Generating and qualifying sales leads using direct sales techniques including visiting, telemarketing, and cold calling. Responding to sales inquiries promptly and developing leads into sales opportunities. Maintaining records of all sales calls including visit reports. Identifying and developing new business opportunities in line with the company's strategies and goals. Responsible for representing the product professionally to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc. Preparing offers, quotations, and customer follow-up. Involved in tender documents analysis from tender documents purchase to final stages of the tender submittal including: Studying tender specifications and finding out misconceptions committed, and contracting with the tender authority for clarification. Contacting local manufacturers and suppliers, sending them the specifications, requesting quotations, and regularly following up with them for competitive prices. Differentiating proposals and quotes, comparing the specifications provided by the suppliers with those of the government/construction specifications and selecting the best quotes for forwarding for approval. Arranging and finalizing the tender documents, providing required support for data filling up, getting ready for required legal and financial papers, and finalizing the bid package. Upon bid awarding, coordinate with the suppliers and manufacturers regarding materials availability, arranging the payment through wire transfer, cheques, cash, or letter of credit. Checking with transporting agents for the best transportation prices, comparing different quotes, and finalizing with the best agent for the fastest consignment movement and delivery. Contacting local clearing agents, arranging for them required documents for clearance purposes, and following up with them regularly to avoid demurrages and unnecessary delays. After materials are submitted to the customer, coordinate regarding payment and cheque collection. Preparing export documents like certificates of origin, re-exporting certificates, packing lists, and dispatch notes. Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions. Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Preparing sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering application trends. Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education. Working on after-sales support services and providing technical backup as required. Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs. Managing the existing customer base and identifying growth opportunities while maintaining profitability in keeping with corporate goals and objectives. Supporting branch teamwork, and preparing daily and weekly reports. Assisting customers in properly selecting the best solution for their application by gaining a clear understanding of their business requirements. Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with clients to encourage repeat and referral business. Communicating with clients to improve and develop business relationships cordially, in addition to maintaining constant follow-up on their feedback. Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs. Working with the technical office team to manage service sales fulfillment. Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers. Maintaining sales forecasting and lost opportunities reports. Preparing detailed reports of weekly activity including call reports and expense reports. Identifying trends in the market, monitoring, and providing regular feedback about competitor activities, market trends, and lost sales. Executing strategic selling activities and SWOT analysis for key accounts and sales leads. Following up and developing our portfolio of consultants and engineering offices in the assigned territory. Studying the technical requirements of customers and selecting the proper generating set. Preparing the technical submittal and financial offer. Attending to technical questions of clients. Preparing forecasts, sold, and lost sales reports. Gathering information about competitors and their performance and identifying market needs. Maintaining public relations with existing & prospective customers and developing new clients for the company products or services. Preparing and delivering technical presentations on applications to customers on Power Point, etc. Pre-qualification, bid preparation, and negotiations with major clients. Prospecting the assigned market segment, generating leads, increasing the pipeline of prospective clients, and forecasting sales for the monthly/quarterly/yearly. Providing pre-sales technical assistance, supporting marketing activities, and solving client issues. Formulating sales goals, marketing plans, and strategies and directing their execution to achieve the Company's objectives and targets. Monitoring the performance of the sales teams or branches within the region and reallocating resources to improve overall results. Developing and implementing price schemes for all products and services based on market and competitor analysis, which should increase sales and profitability of the company. Must Have Abilities: Self-motivated with a proven track record in sales/marketing and familiar with the requirements of infrastructure, water supply, sewage, and turnkey construction projects. Capability to work independently and complete multiple assigned tasks accurately, on time with minimal supervision. Sound understanding of valve concepts and ability to apply and sell a solution to the client. Possessing strong oral and written communication including formal presentation skills. Strong selling and sales aptitude. Fluency in spoken and written English and excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to identify key players in organizations and possess the ability to convert business issues into solutions. Efficient, hardworking, and capable of working with flexible hours.
