Job Opening: Journeyman Technician in Bahrain
Our team has an opening for a Journeyman Technician position in Bahrain. This role supports the sustainment and modernization of various naval networks and systems, including:

Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)
Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES)
Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS)
Integration Shipboard Networking System (ISNS)
Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Networks

The position involves working closely with government and civilian management teams to coordinate tasking, ship visits, and priorities related to SPAWAR-fielded tactical networks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include:

Performing system installations, sustainment, upgrades, configuration management, and CASREP support to ensure readiness of servers, networking devices, and peripherals.
Conducting root cause analysis and recommending configuration changes to support mission objectives.
Coordinating support with technicians, shipboard crews, contractors, and vendors for troubleshooting and system integration.
Interfacing with customers to maintain shipboard networks and equipment.
Attending technical meetings, reporting progress, and preparing data for reports.
Possessing current IAT Level II or higher security certification per Do D 8570.01 M, with the ability to obtain Computing Environment certification within 6 months.
Having 5+ years of progressive IT experience in an enterprise environment, with knowledge of CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI networks, Windows Server, and Cisco devices preferred.
Willingness to travel to Chesapeake, VA for up to one month for training.
Ability to work overtime, take ship rides if necessary, and drive as needed.
