Recreation Aid (Teen Employment Program)Requirements Must pass a pre-employment physical, provide evidence of immunization, be free of all communicable diseases, and obtain appropriate immunization against communicable diseases. Must be ages 14 – 18 years of age and currently attending high school or recent high school graduate. If 18 years of age, must satisfactorily complete all background checks for childcare positions, including fingerprint checks, a Tier 1 with Child Care check, Tier 3 if applicable, and a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check. Must be a US Citizen. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A Qualified Candidate Possesses The Following Knowledge of basic mathematics. Knowledge of recreational activities. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Ability to accurately complete written reports and/or forms. Ability to learn CYP policies, rules, and regulations involving work areas. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to safely and properly use common cleaning equipment and materials. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in English. Education No education requirement if currently attending high school. If recent high school graduate, upload high school diploma. Additional Information Contractors and their family members are ineligible as they do not have civilian component status. Some positions have special requirements. Selection may be tentative pending the completion of the satisfactory employment reference checks and receipt of proof of education (where applicable). Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer is required. Salary is commensurate with experience and/or education.
