Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to provide expert opinion on various health and safety matters in relation to the overall work environment within BAC's premises and BIA to ensure that the airport is safe for all staff and passengers. The position will also provide recommendation on protecting BIA's infrastructure from operations and maintenance activities. The role will also perform audits and inspections on various stakeholders and contractor operating within BIA to ensure that all facilities meet legal moral and financial requirements. Key Accountabilities Assist the Head - Health & Safety and Manager - Health and Safety in developing, maintaining implementing, and improving health and safety processes and procedures. Perform audits and inspections on various stakeholders, contractors and BAC facilities to ensure the safety of all passengers, staff and airport users. Issue reports on any non-conformities to the concerned party along with rectification recommendations. Perform follow up inspections to close any outstanding points. Maintain a knowledge of relevant and up to date laws and legislation to ensure that BIA follows and implements the best industry standards and practices within Bahrain and relevant external accrediting bodies. Provide training as necessary to staff and management on any matters related to Health and Safety such as First-Aid, Confined Space, Rigging and Lifting, etc. Perform investigations in relation to any accidents, incidents or any reported near misses and determine the root cause and provide expert opinion and recommendations on how to prevent any further instances. Prepare policies and procedures for Health & Safety related matters to ensure that all activities are performed safely. Manage any H&S projects and ensure completion successfully. Perform Ad-hoc tasks as requested. Qualifications, Experience Education / Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar technical qualification. NEBOSH Level 3 IGCNEBOSH Process Safety Management NEBOSH Leadership ISO 45001 Certification Experience A minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant field.
