Cake Artist is a culinary professional responsible for turning a simple cake into a mountain of confectionary perfection. Responsibilities: Knowledge of using all the equipment and tools needed by a Cake Artist, in a safe manner. Report any equipment breakdown or any adjustments to Executive Sous Chef. Maintains all of the orders and functions by checking and executing all the details as requested by clients. Possesses strong illustration of his visual skills. Excellent carving skills on any material used in the cake artistry process. Strong knowledge of pastry and cake decorations. Maintains the Daily Order Inventories of all materials for the colouring, sugar dough, cakeboard and utensils, to ensure the availability of all products and materials. Secures the Company's image and reputation by following all products quality measurements. Maintains a clean and safe working area at all times. Ensure that the Company's Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times. Keeps abreast of latest cake designs on the market. Minimise wastage at all times. Carry out any other duties as directed by the senior members of the Bakery Staff. Deputise in the absence of the Chef de Partie and take charge of the Section.
