Program Overview Participants in this 6 month course will gain comprehensive insights into the fields of product management and UX design, focusing on key skills and methodologies essential for success. The course is structured into several modules, each designed to build foundational knowledge and practical skills. Product Foundations and Introduction to Research Begin with an overview of product management and UX design, exploring the roles, responsibilities, and essential skills. Delve into user research methodologies such as surveys, interviews, and observations to understand user needs and pain points. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and gaps. Craft a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with user needs and business goals. Develop user personas to guide design decisions and ensure a user-centric approach. Explore ideation and brainstorming techniques to generate creative solutions to user problems. Product Development and Collaboration Develop a product roadmap that includes vision and strategy. Understand product lifecycle management, including end-of-life considerations and growth strategies. Differentiate between Lean and Agile methodologies and their organizational applications. Apply design thinking to discover product opportunities and achieve product-market fit. Design a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and test it against product-market fit conditions. Design metrics to evaluate product success and post-launch growth strategies. Product Design and Prototyping Learn to structure and organize information effectively to enhance user experience. Create flow diagrams and calculate user effort scores to optimize usability. Conduct usability tests to gather feedback and improve designs. Get hands-on with wireframing and prototyping using Figma for low-fidelity design creation. Understand the nuances of designing for mobile and web to ensure a consistent user experience. Incorporate accessibility and inclusive design principles for usability by all abilities. Portfolio Building Plan and execute a successful product launch with marketing strategies and post-launch activities. Develop skills to craft engaging user stories that communicate product value. Emphasize continuous improvement and iteration based on user feedback and market changes. Compile work and projects into a professional portfolio showcasing skills and accomplishments. Learn resume-building and job search strategies to secure a product management or UX design role. Present the final portfolio to mentors and peers for feedback and refinement.
