Medical Director - Capital Governorate - VKL Holdings & Al Namal Group of Companies VKL Holdings & Al Namal Group of Companies Capital Governorateمنذ يومينMedical Director Position Overview The Medical Director of the De-Addiction and Mental Health Center is a key leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, administrative skills, and interpersonal abilities. This position provides oversight of all medical services within the facility, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership Oversee all medical aspects of patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management Implement clinical protocols and practice guidelines for addiction and psychiatric treatment Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team and facilitate case conferences Provide direct patient care as needed, including evaluations and medication management Review and approve treatment plans for complex cases Oversee detoxification protocols and medication-assisted treatment programs Ensure appropriate management of psychiatric emergencies and crises Administrative Duties Establish and maintain quality assurance and improvement programs Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with current best practices Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (NHRA, LMRA, MOH, etc.)Participate in strategic planning and program development Review and analyze clinical outcomes data to improve service delivery Manage relationships with external healthcare partners and referral sources Participate in budgeting and resource allocation decisions Oversee medical documentation standards and electronic health record implementation Staff Management and Development Recruit, supervise, and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to medical team members Facilitate continuing education programs for clinical staff Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to patient care Promote a culture of excellence, empathy, and ethical practice Ensure appropriate credentialing and privileging of medical staff Education and Outreach Represent the center at community events and professional conferences Establish relationships with academic institutions for training opportunities Stay current with emerging research and treatment modalities in addiction medicine and psychiatry Advocate for evidence-based approaches to substance use and mental health treatment Qualifications: Required MD from an accredited medical school Board certification in Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or Addiction Psychiatry Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field Current state medical license in good standing Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in addiction treatment and/or mental health settings More than 5 years in leadership or administrative role Experience with medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders Knowledge of regulatory requirements for behavioral health facilities Experience with various treatment modalities (detoxification, residential, outpatient)Preferred Additional board certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine Fellowship training in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry Key Skills and Attributes: Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills Proficiency in managing complex medical and psychiatric conditions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage crisis situations effectively Knowledge of healthcare economics and reimbursement models Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations Working Conditions: Full-time position with flexible schedule May require occasional evening or weekend availability for emergencies Primarily office-based with some direct patient care responsibilities
