PROPOSAL & ESTIMATION ENGINEER - SYSTEM SOLUTIONSJob Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented DCS (Distributed Control System) and SCADA Proposal Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals tailored to client RFQs in the Middle East and Africa. Job Location: Bahrain (Onsite)Key Responsibilities: Proposal Development: Analyze client specifications, RFQs, and tender documents to understand project requirements. Design DCS and SCADA solutions and develop system architecture, BOMs (Bill of Materials), compliances, and cost estimates. Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to clarify project scope and align proposals with customer expectations. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposals. Technical Expertise: Provide technical support during pre-sales discussions and presentations. Stay up-to-date with the latest DCS and SCADA technologies, industry trends, and competitors' offerings. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure proposals are complete, professional, and delivered within deadlines. Address client queries and revisions promptly and accurately. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering. Experience:4-8 years of experience in DCS and SCADA engineering, proposal preparation, or related roles. Preferred process industry: Food & Beverages, Mining, Steel Industry, Pharma. Familiarity with major DCS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens, Rockwell) is an advantage. Site commissioning experience is a plus. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of architecture, hardware, software, and communication protocols. Proficiency in developing cost estimates and technical documentation. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC) and safety regulations. Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
