Job Purpose Receive and evaluate the retail credit applications along with the supporting documents and provide the appropriate recommendation in line with the bank's policies and procedures. Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Deliverables Of Role Review of the received credit applications including the supporting documents as per the credit policy and procedure requirements within the agreed TAT. Ensure all information needed for the credit decisions are obtained. Verify the needed information for credit decision per the bank's defined processes and scripts. Review and conduct a thorough credit analysis of the received credit applications including the supporting documents and provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of the credit risk. Present analysis, findings and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a borrower's ability to repay. Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications. Keep up to date with the bank's lending policies. Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances. Support in the update and maintenance of employer's whitelist and the relevant supporting documents inventory from the whitelist employers. Train and develop the pre-screening staff on identifying the processing and elimination variables. Experience A minimum of 5 years of strong retail credit experience.
