SCADA Engineer Jobs in Bahrain, Bahrain by Serco SCADA Engineer Serco- Bahrain, Bahrain Posted In 19/6/2013 Job Description The main purpose of the position is to handle the installation, modifications, and maintenance of the SCADA System and PLC. The engineer will be responsible for the overall project by heading the contract team and reporting directly to the Ministry Engineer. Responsibilities include ensuring the continuous and proper operation of the SCADA system, preparing and executing routine preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating activities with application and system administration. Key Responsibilities: Service, repairs, and maintenance of SCADA and PLC systems and associated field instruments and low voltage switchgear equipment at client premises or installation sites. Programming and troubleshooting in the PLCs and SCADA monitors, supervising and guiding the project team of electrical engineers and technicians. Participate in the maintenance and diagnosis of system failures and breakdowns, making on-the-spot decisions to solve complex problems. Support the Project Manager in generating revenue from maintenance and value-added services. Maintain all systems under annual maintenance contracts through planned preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Coordinate with the client's representative on a daily basis and log the daily maintenance activities carried out. Attend to emergency call-outs and repairs. Support a 24 x 7 shift duty work schedule for maintenance of critical solutions for customers. Job Requirements Experience Min: 4 Years

Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants is an added advantage. A degree in Electronic/Computer Science/Electrical or equivalent is required. Skills: Strong site and customer management skills, ability to manage a team of technicians and monitor maintenance schedules. Ability to execute maintenance contracts with a good understanding of preventive maintenance, shutdown, and breakdown procedures. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken. Experience:4-8 years of hands-on experience in SCADA/PLC systems, in engineering or maintenance. Special preference for experience in National Instruments Lab VIEW/Lookout SCADA.
