Plant / Factory Manager

Roles & Responsibility:
Operations-Production, Maintenance, PPC, Tool Room & Development Engineering

1. To ensure optimum utilization of all resources like machines, equipment, manpower, materials, spare etc.

2. To increase productivity and efficiencies of each machine / section, and also monitoring output/man hours

3. To reduce total production cost

4. To improve and have better control of production processes with greater automation, layout changes etc. and reduction of wastages and downtime and minimization of scrap generation, rejections and recycled material availability.

5. To control power consumption and mínimal machine idling so that optimal power consumption per carton is attained in line with ISO 50001 systems.

6. Proper monitoring and control over manpower planning needs to be done ensuring proper manpower distribution amongst machine stations ensuring proper headcount analysis, OT management, to ensure proper labour cost control.

7. To recommend for acquisition of new machines, moulds, equipment, and auxiliary equipment such as compressor, dryers, chillers, etc.

8. To get evaluated any technical proposal forwarded by the Management and submit the same with recommendations.

9. To ensure that drawings for all the products, machines, moulds are being maintained and kept under proper control.

10. To ensure that monthly production plans are being made to facilitate smooth delivery of sales orders on time ensuring no out of stock, optimal batch sizes are adhered to and minimum/maximum finished goods inventory levels or quarterly and recommend any changes for Management approval.

11. Ensure to consume non/slow moving stocks and/or alternate materials required and that the requirements of weekly plan are coordinated effectively with Warehouse and Purchase departments.

12. To work in tandem with the Development to drive the process of new product development with effective automation and labor saving techniques that keeps the plant a step ahead of competition, ensuring competitiveness and clients are kept happy with breadth of no. of SKU's available and introduced into our product portfolio.

13. To bring down cost of production through replacement of existing technology where necessary, with more efficient, faster and cost effective scrap saving alternatives.

14. To keep abreast of food packaging standards and requirements ensuring low immigration levels, and that products comply to thickness, strength, functionality and aesthetics according to customer requirement/expectations.

Qualifications:
35-45 years Male

Bachelors/Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering

10 years solid experience to Plastic/Aluminum Manufacturing

Would be able to handle production capacity with a minimum of 100 employees.

- Sitra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
