The Material Controller cum Time Keeper is responsible for managing and tracking the receipt, storage, and distribution of project materials while also maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, work hours, and payroll-related data. This dual role ensures efficient inventory management and accurate workforce timekeeping to support smooth project operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Material Management**:

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in accordance with inventory management practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and update records to ensure materials are available for project needs.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved requisitions and maintain accurate records of material usage.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to address shortages, damages, or returns.
- **Timekeeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, working hours, overtime, and leave.
- Verify timesheets and ensure they are approved by supervisors or managers.
- Track and report daily manpower allocation for different tasks or areas.
- Assist in preparing payroll data by providing accurate time and attendance records.
- Address any discrepancies in attendance or work hours with employees and supervisors.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of material receipts, issues, transfers, and stock levels.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for materials and manpower as required.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and project requirements.
- Report discrepancies, delays, or issues related to materials or timekeeping to the project manager.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials.
- Communicate with HR and payroll departments to resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager on material availability and workforce attendance.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure materials are stored and handled in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards during inventory management and timekeeping activities.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management, logistics, or timekeeping are a plus.
- Proven experience in material management, inventory control, or timekeeping, preferably in construction or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of payroll and timekeeping systems.

**Key Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management and timekeeping software/tools (e.g., ERP, MS Excel).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
