Assistant Manager, Cyber and Information Security

This is a managerial position responsible institutionalizing focus on Information and Cyber Security to strengthen the organization’s competitive advantage. The role holder is responsible to carry out and implement the Information Security agenda and vision throughout the organization, and operate in a cohesive environment with all teams to achieve audit & risk-constrained optimized growth. The role holder identifies and clarifies current internal security compliance practices and controls within the organization, and manages Information Security by implementing controls, identifying & reporting threats, to enhance focus on security within systems, networks, and throughout the organization.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Instilling best industry standards and practices by ensuring compliance with the company’s executive management policy to ISO 27001/ PCI DSS / PCI-PIN / PCI Card Production.
- Identifying assessing and prioritizing cybersecurity risks across the organization.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Developing and maintaining risk registers and recommending appropriate risk treatment strategies.
- Monitoring and reporting on risk levels and trends to key stakeholders.
- Staying current with relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborating with legal and compliance teams to ensure cybersecurity practices align with regulatory requirements.
- Performing assessments to ensure adherence to relevant standards.
- Developing, updating, and enforcing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Leading incident response efforts, ensuring timely identification, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
- Collaborating with IT and technical teams to implement preventive measures based.
- Creating educational materials to enhance the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
- Fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
- Assessing the cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and partners.
- Monitoring vendor compliance with cybersecurity requirements and perform periodic assessments.
- Communicating cybersecurity risks, incidents, and remediation efforts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
**Education/Certifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security
- Professional Qualification in Information Security Management and Cyber Security Management (CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.)
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 4+ years' experience in the field of IT and Information Security
- Information Security experience in the financial services industry, preferably in card payment industry.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance roles, with a deep understanding of relevant standards and regulations.
**Knowledge/Skills/Attributes**:
- Knowledge of security technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of the nature and sources of computer viral infestations.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management, and risk treatment strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
- Ability to train clients on security policies and awareness.
- Ability to initiate projects and drive results.
