We have an open role for **Position Title-Hostess **for a well-established **Fine Dining Restaurant **in Bahrain.

The **Hostess** at our **Greek concept restaurant** plays a pivotal role in creating an authentic and warm Greek dining experience for our guests. This role involves welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with the restaurant team to ensure a seamless service. The Hostess is expected to embody the spirit of Greek hospitality, making every guest feel like they are part of our extended family.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Reception**:

- Greet guests with a warm and friendly "Kalos Irthate" (Welcome).
- Confirm reservations and escort guests to their tables with attention to detail.
- Provide menus and highlight any special Greek dishes or seasonal items.
- Offer insights into the Greek dining customs and the restaurant’s unique concept.
- **Reservations Management**:

- Accommodate special requests, such as dietary preferences, specific seating arrangements, or celebrations.
- Maintain an organized reservation book and ensure smooth communication with the kitchen and service staff.
- **Seating Coordination**:

- Efficiently manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to balance guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Be attentive to guest preferences, ensuring regulars and VIPs receive preferred seating when available.
- **Guest Relations**:

- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, sharing the restaurant’s story and Greek culinary traditions.
- Address guest inquiries about the menu, Greek cuisine, or cultural references with enthusiasm and knowledge.
- Handle any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive resolution.
- **Support Duties**:

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the entrance and waiting areas.
- Assist in setting up for special Greek-themed events, such as live music nights or cultural celebrations.
- Support servers and kitchen staff during peak times to ensure smooth and efficient service.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hospitality or customer service training, with a focus on Mediterranean or Greek cuisine, is an advantage.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience as a hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant.
- Familiarity with Greek culture, cuisine, and dining customs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and point-of-sale software.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with grace and efficiency.
- Passion for Greek culture and cuisine, with the ability to share this passion with guests.
- **Language Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of Greek language or phrases is a plus but not mandatory.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to move quickly and efficiently between different areas of the restaurant.
