The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within a warehouse or store. This role ensures that inventory is organized, records are maintained, and that stock levels are monitored to meet operational needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Organize and store items in the warehouse or store according to predefined layouts.
- Conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stock outs.
- **Stock Control**:

- Issue and distribute items as per requisitions and requests from different departments.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of goods for easy identification and handling.
- Monitor expiry dates of perishable items and implement a First In, First Out (FIFO) system.
- Report low stock levels and recommend reorders to the purchasing department.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety guidelines while handling inventory, particularly hazardous or fragile materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free storage area.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Update inventory management systems regularly with information on stock levels, damages, or shortages.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management.
- **Coordination**:

- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Facilitate stock transfers between various locations when necessary.
- Assist with inventory audits and reconciliations.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect goods for damage during receipt and report discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure that all stock is stored properly to avoid deterioration or damage.
