In-house Accountant

Manama, Bahrain Dar Maysaa Salon and Spa Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct VAT calculations and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Perform inventory checking, monitoring stock levels, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Manage supplier orders, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining good relationships with vendors.
- Handle daily income and expenses management, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Oversee payroll processes, including processing employee salaries, benefits, and deductions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate and manage commission payments for sales teams or relevant departments.
- Assist with preparing employment contracts and ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Support the management of legal matters, such as maintaining employee records, confidentiality agreements, and compliance with local labor laws.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with exposure to HR responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Familiarity with VAT regulations and experience in calculating VAT.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial calculations and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of employment contracts and labor laws is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.

**Salary**: BD200.000 - BD500.000 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Al-Muḥarraq: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
