Diesel Mechanic

_**Qualifications and Education Requirements**_
- Mechanical Jobs experience is necessary
- Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment; exposure to weather elements, dust, noise, etc.
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, respiratory protection, safety belts, gloves, etc.
- **Minimum 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in the ready-mix/concrete industry is preferred**_
- **Skills/Personal Traits**_
- Strong mechanical repair/troubleshooting and metal working skills.
- Must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate proficiency in Machine Repair, Machine Tool Operations.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with focus on attention to detail.

Strong communication, written, and oral skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on trucks and production equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance as per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and documents maintenance concerns/resolutions in an electronic form; providing action plans and status reports as needed.
- Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Maintenance Manager.
- Performs troubleshooting in various locations and positions.
- Ability to do all the mechanical jobs like brake, air circuit, overhauling repairs and services.
- Ensures that all work performed meets required codes and is in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety shoes, gloves, glasses, helmet and coverall.
- Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Experience in Readymix companies and has experiences with Hiabs, Loaders, Concrete pumps, Mixers, Forklift, Generators, etc
- Basing information about hydraulic jobs like cylinder, hoses, Control Orings.
- Gulf experience is preferred
