**Duties**:
**COUNSELING AND ADVOCACY**:
Provides a variety of psycho-educational workshops on core issues such as sexual assault, suicide prevention, and various wellness and resiliency topics. Workshop offerings may include stress management, anger management, effective communication, parenting education, operational stress control, successful adaptation to military life, and child abuse or domestic abuse identification/prevention and interpersonal violence.Manages assigned cases independently, consulting with the FFSC Director or Clinical Supervisor where the case is highly complex or presents with special issues.Complies with reporting protocols involving high risk and high visibility cases. Refers clients who present with issues falling outside the authorized scope of care of the Fleet and Family Support Programs to military or civilian behavioral health providers; specifically, individuals presenting with any psychiatric diagnosis other than those categorized as “other conditions that may be a focus of Clinical Attention” or “adjustment disorder”. Provides critical incident intervention when requested, maintains responsibility for the assessment, triage and referral of clients presenting with a risk of harm to themselves or others and refers to the nearest behavioral health provider.Receives and assesses referrals made by military and civilian agencies and maintains case records in the Fleet and Family Support Management Information System (FFSMIS), and statistics in accordance with Navy policies and regulations, complying with FFSC clinical quality standards, Counseling and Advocacy Program Desk Guides, local instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Performs Family Advocacy Case Management duties, which include receiving initial reports of suspected child and spouse abuse from military and civilian representatives and taking all steps required under the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Provides safety planning, case management, treatment, rehabilitation services, and education services related to child abuse and spouse abuse. Serves as designated case manager and primary FAP point of contact for spouse and child abuse cases ensuring all actions are in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy instructions and civilian reporting requirements. Provides timely completion of all required assessments and documentation (e.g., Family Advocacy Risk Assessment). Uses information for presentation of initial case reviews at the Incident Determination Committee (IDC).Completes concise case presentations to the designated Family Advocacy Representative (FAR) for subsequent presentation to the IDC. Provides individual or group treatment addressing sexual assault and for open FAP cases as recommended by the installation FAP Clinical Case Staff Meeting (CCSM). Provides education through briefs and workshops on the reporting requirements of child and domestic abuse, parent-child interactions, couples communication and variety of topics related to individual and family resiliency.

**Sexual Assault Response Prevention**

Serve as a certified sexual assault victim advocate and liaison to the installation Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC).Ensures any initial reports of sexual assault are expeditiously reported to the installation SARC in accordance with established procedures and that the victim’s confidentiality is not compromised.Provides sexual assault awareness and prevention training within the NSF in coordination with the installation SARC and the Fleet and Family Support Center Director.Towards this end, the incumbent will be required to be trained in all positions within the Sexual Assault & Prevention Response (SAPR) program and be credentialed by the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Credentialing Program.Works directly with NSF leadership to provide regular updates regarding prevention training implementation and assists with meeting annual SAPR training requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, annual GMT, under 25 programs, healthy sexuality, interpersonal violence prevention programs, healthy relationships, and a wide range of lifeskills programs identified through focus groups and by command leadership.

**Program Management**

Incumbent works closely with installation leadership and the NSF leadership team including but not limited the NSF Security Officer, the Senior Enlisted Advisor and other Officers and Chief Petty Officers assigned to design, implement and monitor the progress of all prevention programs initiated for the NSF.

- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
