To lead financial planning & accounts function and to oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.

**The role in one line**

Control the spend on the P&L, and raise funding to allow for Calo’s international expansion.

**What problems is this role meant to solve?**
- Develop a fundraising strategy with the CEO
- Revise and lead in setting up controls
- Oversee financial reporting
- Approves pricing changes and promotions
- Approves overspends when needed
- Reviews and approves manpower plans with the CPO
- Prepares investments allocations

**How will you return RoI to the business?**
- Set the control and approval systems to allow Calo to manage business units in 4-9 countries
- Develop visibility dashboards & controls metrics
- Integrate and onboard acquired businesses into the systems used by Calo for reporting
- Lead raising debt within 6 months
- Raise a large equity round for international expansion and projects within 12 months

**What you’ll be working on**
- Lead financial planning & accounts function which consists of 3 sub-functions: accounts and reporting, financial analysis and business analysis.
- Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
- Oversee all acquisition due diligence activities within the company expansion plans.
- Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
- Guarantee compliance with financial laws, GCC VAT and ZATCA guidelines.
- Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
- Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience working within a multi-geography fast-paced work environment
- 2-8 years of proven experience as a Director or similar role
- Understanding of GCC VAT laws

**Skill Set Required**
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
- Debt management experience
- CPA or other relevant qualifications
- Pre-IPO exposure
- Fundraising at Series B and beyond
- Led a finance and accounts organization of 15+ team members Experience using different ERP softwares (e.g. Microsoft Navision or SAP)
