Professor of Business Analytics and Finance

**Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Teach up to five courses per semester depending on the rank.
- Prepare course syllabus, plan lessons and assignments.
- Assess students’ progress by grading assignments, papers, exams, and other work.
- Advise students about which classes to take and how to achieve their goals.
- Work with colleagues to develop or modify the curriculum for a degree or certificate program involving a series of courses.
- Stay informed about changes and innovations in their field.
- Invigilating examinations.
- Attending faculty meetings.
- General administration work in relation to teaching and assessments’ quality assurance.
- Writing research proposals, papers, and other publications.
- Supervising projects/thesis of students.
- Any other QA and academic related tasks.
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications and Experience required**:
- Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Data Science, or terminal degree in related fields.
- Significant practical industry experience is a plus for this position.
- Experience teaching Business Analytics courses at the university level.
- Demonstrated and ongoing record of impactful research in Business Analytics, broadly defined, who have strong industry engagement, and proven ability to link theory and practice in their area(s) of expertise.
- Experience in outreach in the professional data science industry, and/or prior professional experience in data science is desirable.
**Skills and Competencies required**:
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to impart Business Analytics concepts and theories to students.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with peers, leadership, and external constituents, including the business community.
- Knowledge and experience of using learning management systems (LMS).
- Demonstrate leadership aligned with AUBH core values of integrity, engagement, excellence, and desire to make a difference.
