**Job Overview**:
Ensure that all occupational health and safety standards are followed and that adherence to environmental laws is maintained in industrial or manufacturing settings. Devise safety plans, monitor practices to ensure compliance, write up safety policies and procedures, and respond to emergencies as needed. Review the impact an industry has on the environment and create plans to minimize or eliminate any impact on a company's surroundings.

Work in the oil and gas industry or for waste management plants, construction projects, utility projects, and others. Collaborate with managers, safety leaders, inspectors, and other professionals, and they split time between an office and the field. Work full time and occasionally work longer hours when handling an emergency or crisis situation.
- Execute safety programs for locations and minimize company safety losses.
- Develop a culture to anticipate and prevent health hazardous conditions.
- Drive behaviors preventing illnesses in the workplace by engaging management commitment.
- Interpret legal requirements and standards by monitoring R&D projects.
- Deploy Automation and Controls Solutions Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems program.
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions.
- Support HSE inspections, audits, and self-assessments.
- Manage reports and present summaries to management with suggested solutions.
- Execute environmental management processes such as chemicals and waste management and pollution prevention.
- Handle industrial hygiene, equipment protection, machine guarding, and other health and safety programs.
- Handle safety assessments and deploy corrective measures to minimize hazard risk profile.
- Offer quality products safely and effectively and decrease errors and accidents and increase profits.
- Achieve health and safety management excellence.
- Create Safety Policies and Plans
- Generate Safety Issue Reports
- Conduct Safety Audits
- Oversee Safety Training

**Job Qualifications**:

- Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university. A postgraduate degree in Safety and/or Chartered Engineer Status is preferred.
- Experience in the production and/or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including heavy experience in Technical Safety Engineering. Held a supervisory position and hold a track record to train and mentor junior engineers.
- Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment.
- Shall be fully familiar with safety case regulations.
- Knowledgeable of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
- Proven track record in the preparation of technical documentation to a very high standard, especially Safety Cases, HEMP reports, and HSE MS documentation;
- Project experience in Production & Maintenance;
- Ability to work as a team member as well as in a lead role.
- At least 5 working years’ experience in related field.

- Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

**Experience**:

- HSE Engineering: 5 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Engineering (required)
- Driver's License (preferred)
