Quantity Surveyor

Jon Description:

- Analyzing project plans and specifications to determine the quantity of materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers to ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
- Identifying potential cost savings opportunities and recommending alternative materials or construction methods.
- monitoring construction sites and meeting with clients
- Design and consider the health, Safety and welfare in projects in pre-construction, during and post construction.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities for the client.
- Provide necessary awareness of various building contracts in use
- Maintaining accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs.
- Reviewing and analyzing bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that they are competitive and meet project requirements.
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project costs and progress.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to gather information and assess project requirements.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quantity estimation.
- Ensuring that all estimates and project documentation comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, construction or civil engineering or similar
- 2 to 5 years as Quantity Surveyor or in a similar position
- Excellent interpersonal & Negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of building and construction
- Clear understanding the implementation of Health & Safety regulations
- Analytical thinking skills
- Excellent proven experience in cost estimation
- Attention to Detail & Methodological Approach to Work
