**Job description**

The housekeeping supervisor needs to ensure his/her subordinates carry out the given tasks efficiently. Housekeeping supervisor inspects the work done by the housekeeping staff members to make sure that the work has been done as per the set standards.

To ensure that the cleaning and servicing of Buildings, public areas, back of house meets the company standards.

**1. CLEANING - Common Areas**

1.1 Taking care of all common area cleaning issues at Reef Island, doing the onsite inspections and checking on cleaning sub-contractor to make sure that they are doing the job in a proper way.

1.2 Preparing all cleaning schedules to keep up the cleaning standard and monitoring the cleaning sub-contractors to ensure that they have completed the cleaning task as per provided cleaning schedule.

1.3 Preparing the work allocation for all the staff, in detail what are the works to be carried out by each person on his designated location within the assigned time frame.

1.4 Preparing all the required location check list for the cleaning supervisors to do the inspection on designated areas, this will give us exact ideas, is all the areas has been cleaned and monitored by the cleaning sub-contractors.

1.5 Collecting the information from the helpdesk for the new move in tenant to keep the particular floor common areas clean as per the standard before the occupancy of new tenant.

1.6 Preparing the cleaning material stock control and inventory list for Reef Island, preparing the costing on monthly basis

1.7 Doing the follow up with help desk for any request is being made by tenant regarding the cleaning of common areas.

1.8 Preparing the standard operating procedure for all the cleaning staff.

1.9 Conducting onsite training for all the cleaning staff at Reef Island.

1.10 Preparing the monthly cleaning report for Reef Island.

**2. HOUSE-KEEPING SERVICES**

2.1 Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.

2.2 Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.

2.3 Obtains list of flats to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.

2.4 Coordinates work activities among departments.

2.5 Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.

2.6 Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.

2.7 Prepares reports concerning flats occupancy.

2.8 Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.

2.9 Examines flats to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and reports to assets department

2.10 Issues supplies and equipment to workers.

2.11 Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.

**3. PEST CONTROL**

3.1 Monitoring and managing of pest control services at Reef Island

3.2 Doing the follow up with help desk if any request is being made for the pest control service within the Reef Island, for a reactive pest control service

3.3 Preparing the monthly pest control report.

4. WASTE MANAGEMENT

4.1 Monitoring and managing of waste movements.

4.2 Ensuring that the waste has been removed from skips as and when required

4.3 Ensuring that all the main garbage rooms and waste bins has cleaned and maintained all the time in a high standard.

4.4 Preparing the monthly report.

**Educational / Professional Qualifications Required**:

- Diploma or vocational training hospitality with previous supervisory experiences within the Housekeeping Department

**Work Experience Required**:

- 3-4 years’ experience of working in a similar service

- Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment with multiple interruptions

**Experience**:
