**Role Overview**:We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with expertise in design, calculation, and drawings review, particularly within thermal power and petrochemical plants. This role involves contributing to the project's success by creating and reviewing engineering designs, performing calculations, and ensuring the accuracy of technical drawings, with a focus on boilers, heat exchangers, FGD, and GGH systems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the design and engineering phases of turnaround maintenance projects, focusing on mechanical components related to thermal power and petrochemical plants. Tasks include creating and reviewing designs, calculations, and technical drawings for systems such as:
Boilers
Heat exchangers
Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems
Gas-Gas Heater (GGH) systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and efficient solutions that meet project requirements.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards, particularly within thermal power and petrochemical contexts.
- Review technical drawings and documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications, specifically pertaining to boilers, heat exchangers, FGD, and GGH systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the execution phase, with a deep understanding of these specialized systems.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to communicate design concepts and progress updates, especially in relation to thermal power and petrochemical processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, sharing insights and recommendations for enhanced engineering practices within thermal power and petrochemical facilities.
**Qualifications**:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Possess a demonstrated track record (7+ years) of designing mechanical components and reviewing technical drawings, specifically within the thermal power and petrochemical sectors.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, with the ability to translate concepts into detailed technical drawings, particularly in the context of boilers, heat exchangers, FGD, and GGH systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in designs and documentation specific to the aforementioned systems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in thermal power and petrochemical plants.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
